Dental FAQs

You can find local qualified dentists by checking the NHS Direct’s Local Services. Please note that from April 2016 it was no longer required for patients to be registered with a particular dentist or doctor.

This means you’re free to choose any dentist you like. Your dental records can be transferred to us from another dentist if you have history with another UK practice and wish to transfer over to Manor Road Dentists.

This will depend on the health of your teeth or gums.

Patients with good oral health may only require one annual check-up as well as a visit to the dental hygienist. However, those with more complex needs may need to come more often.

Your unique dental requirements will be discussed in your appointment. Our dentists will recommend a treatment plan that suits your needs and ensures your oral health remains in check.

In Wales, NHS Wales are responsible for government-funded dental treatment.

After your check-up, your dentist will advise you whether the treatment will be covered by the NHS, private care or a combination of both. You can read the NHS 111 Wales FAQs for more information.
